Jelena Nikolic led with 11 points to record Serbia’s ninth victory in the Women’s World Cup after they took a 3:0 (25:11, 25:14, 25:19) victory over Kenya at Park Arena Komaki on Saturday. Nikolic produced a solid output from the attack line, while Mercy Moim tallied the same number of points on a losing effort. The Serbians still played with the same intensity without their top hitter Brankica Mihajlovic, who got a breather in the middle of the first set. Serbia coach Zoran Terzic said: "Congratulations to my team. That’s nine wins in a row and we have one more game against Argentina to finish in the right way and take a ticket for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Congratulations to the Kenyan team because every time we play against them they are better and better. I’m happy because they work in the right way and play better and better every time. Those kinds of games can be difficult from time to time; everyone expects that we will win very easily. Today’s game was interesting and Kenya played at a good level. I’m satisfied about how we played today and satisfied with the result."
